Explore the United Arab Emirates

Not long ago, I watched a news story about the United Arab Emirates (UAE). My eyes were glued to the TV as I took in the images – the people, the culture, and magnificent views. I knew that lots of wealthy businessmen travel to the UAE, but could I?

I did a little research. I learned, to my surprise, that I don’t have to break the bank in order to vacation in the UAE. This desert region is now in my sights, and it’s not a mirage.

I may not have the expense account of a Donald Trump, but I can still plan an exciting trip on a budget. I checked out a new UAE .ae hotel site by Cheaperthanhotels. It's user-friendly and specifically designed for travelers to this region. For instance, visitors entering Dubai and Abu Dhabi may book luxury accommodations as well as discounted last-minute deals.

With a few mouse clicks, this UAE hotel site allowed me to search loads of databases for the best bargains on accommodations. Looking for rooms under $100 a night? This is the place to find them.

UAE travelers also have the choice of world-class airlines, including Etihad and Emirates. On a travel brochure, I saw an aerial view of Dubai at night. It was breathtaking. For me, Dubai is a must-see destination. The shopping malls are as legendary as the gorgeous white beaches.

When it comes to this oasis, or any of the other destinations in the UAE, I plan to do more than relax and shop. I want to experience the region’s rich history and culture. The United Arab Emirates may have a reputation for opulence, but it’s nice to know that there’s a place for me, too.

I have been doing every thing that can be doone in the deserts in Cholistan but, yes, travelling to UAE is on the top of my wish list. I wish to be there; international shopping place, desert safaris, a place to meet people from all cultures and a lot more.

Shi: Thank you for bringing up the desert safaris. They're definitely worth including on anyone's wish list!

It's funny you blogged about the UAE. My faculty advisor has an obsession with the UAE. Some of her research involves examining labor relations there. In fact, she's taking a class there this year for study abroad. She knows the UAE like she knows the back of her hand.

If you ever need any traveling tips and suggestions, I can give you her contact.

It sounds as if you colleague is teaching an intriguing class. Too bad I'm not enrolled! Thanks for the heads up, my friend.

I have a friend who lived in Dubai for three years and utterly loved it. Follow your dream, dear friend of mine.
