Wishing you the best in 2007

Let this coming year be better than all the others.
Vow to do some of the things
you've always wanted to do but couldn't find the time.
Call up a forgotten friend.
Drop an old grudge,
and replace it with some pleasant memories.
Vow not to make a promise
you don't think you can keep.
Walk tall, and smile more.
You'll look ten years younger.
Don't be afraid to say, 'I love you'.
Say it again.
They are the sweetest words in the world.

Thank you for your kind and empathic comments. yes, I will stand and go on, but hopefully I am rid of false identifications!

I'm up and at 'em on January 1st, so it's time to wish Deb a "Happy New Year!"

Regarding your last post, I've gone full circle on email. When I first got it, I just ignored it for quite awhile. Then I finally started to use it, and for four or five years I'd get kind of excited everytime I heard that chime signalling that I'd received another email. Then I started to get the junk email mixed in, and it was a minor annoyance. Now, I dread turning on my computer every day, because I know what I'm going to find.

I wonder how the people who send all that crap feel about themselves. I see them as parasites who add just a little bit of misery to a lot of people's lives.

Rama: You are such a dear soul. Happy New Year!

Dennis: You are up and at 'em early! You must be ready to return to your beloved students. :-)

About email: I was really excited when I got my first email account. I still love to use email for correspondence, but it is a bummer to get so much junk mail. I used to have my audio notification on. Now the sound is off.

Such an apt description. May I quote you? ;-)

Good old Ann. I miss her homey wisdom consisting of such gems as "Wake up and smell the coffee," and others. Most apt, my dear.
And a wonderfully happy 2007 to you; one of my favorite people even if we have never met.
fond regards,
Ian

Ian: I agree with you about Ann. She was great. By the way, you're one of my favorite people, too. Be happy. :-)

Von: Happy New Year to you, too. If you're talking about AsianSmiles, I have no idea why she stopped blogging. I really miss her.

I still use "wake up and smell the coffee." It's more polite than "you're in denial."

Best wishes for the year.
