McDonald's touts "quality" in ad campaign

Fast-food giant combats critics

McDonald's is kicking off a two-day media event to tout the quality of its food and combat critics who say its burgers and fries are unhealthy. New print ads tout McDonald's "top quality USDA eggs" and "high-quality chicken", and the company already has a Balanced Lifestyles initiative to promote physical activity. Details from CNN.

Save me, please.

Rose, there are many who say that the food is making children fat and giving children high cholesterol levels, if they eat the food on a regular basis instead of home-prepared meals. Nutrition aside, I am old enough to remember when you could buy a burger, fries, and a shake for a dollar. Those were the days!

Shirazi, what are we saving you from...McDonald's??

Hana, and with that the weight, width of fundus, what else. And ont ask me if I am fan of McDonald's?

Shirazi, I would live to visit a McDonald's in your part of the world. I bet the menu is very different there.

Here I find the fries very hard to resist. I buy them for my daughter when she asks for them. I always have to nibble a few of hers. Of course, she gets a little annoyed. :-)

Should I send you McDonald's gift certificates? ;-)

Rose, BTW, I am one of those adults who stays away, unless I am treating my daughter. Then I buy one of the salads and only use a portion of the dressing. It works for me.

Darn! All this talk about McDonald's is making me want to rush out and buy breakfast! Not good! (Groan)

I think that pushing "other" foods might be a good option.

True, Dr. Deb.

I am proud of myself. I did not go out for a McDonald's breakfast. I ate a healthy breakfast at home. :-)

So I passed the marshmallow test? :-)

The menu here is almost the same. Only they tell us that potatoes used here are from USA, which is one more of the reasons I can’t resist having them.

Are you sending the certificates ;-)

Deb Sistrunk Nelson said...

Gee, Shi, I guess I'll have to send those certificates after all. :-)
