Everything's big in California

California is in the news big-time and not in a good way. Major League Baseball announced that it's seizing control of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Dodgers owner Frank McCourt is challenging the commissioner's action.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Times is reporting that California agencies have handed out millions of dollars in interest-free salary and travel advances to their employees without collecting repayment. Gov. Jerry Brown and the state controller ordered a stop to the practice. They're hoping to collect on loans that remain unpaid.
