Federal legislation set aside the day after Thanksgiving — for this year only — to honor the contributions Native Americans have made to the United States. You didn't know? Well, you're not alone. Details from The Associated Press.

Why just for this year? Shouldn't such a commemoraton be in perpetuity? Just wondering.
