I hope you are not a computer hacker because the following comment may get me in trouble with you a St. Louis, Missouri, Cardinals' fan (wink):

I spent 14 years living in Windsor, Ont. which in closeness is like a suburb of Detroit. While there I became a hopeless Detroit Tiger fan (hopeless because they never won anything while I was in Windsor and they always did poorly each year).

However, they have made this years' world series and I have to cheer for them after having cheered for them through 14 losing seasons.

P.S.

If St. Louis wins, I will forgive you (wink).

Boo hoo.....we are diehard Mets fans here. But, the Red Birds outplayed us!!

I wish them luck against the Tigers.

Tubby: I think it's great that you've been a faithful fan of the Detroit Tigers all these years. Hopefully, we'll see the best of the Tigers and the Cardinals during the World Series.

You suffered with the Tigers through 14 losing seasons. A dear friend of mine is a die-hard fan of the Cubs!

When I watch the series, I'll be thinking of you. :-)

Dr. Deb: Man! The Mets is an awesome team! You should be very proud of them for their performance throughout the season.

When Endy Chavez reached over the left field wall to pull back a home run by Scott Rolen , I jumped to my feet! I was back on my feet at the bottom of the 9th when the Mets had the bases loaded and Beltran was at the plate.

I hope we see a lot of good baseball in the days ahead.

"Dinah Washington is one of the best female singers of all time"

re

I love Dinah Washington's singing. The music for "Gimp And Other Things" is only the second time I used music on my Tubby's Comments blog and Dinah is the only person to make the list both times.

Thanks also for your gracious comment on my new Tubby's Gimp blog. You made history (wink) as you were the first person to post a comment there. The two comments in the prievious post at that blog while they were about my Gimp website were actually first posted at Tubby's Comments as I didn't then have a blog to handle comments that were specifically Gimp related, and I transfered those two comments to the Gimp blog. In reality however, you as stated were the first person to post at that new blog and I appreciate it.

Good for the Cards, I say.Aside to Dr. Deb, I didn't know there were actual Mets fans. I'm so old I remember when the Dodgers played in Brooklyn.

cheers, Ian

Ian: As I write this, we're celebrating in St. Louis. It's "Red October" here! Who knew a couple of months ago that the Cardinals would be World Champions?! What a sweet moment. :-)
