The state of New Orleans

Examining the rebuilding of the Big Easy

Data indicate that New Orleans remains in a state of emergency more than three months after it was officially declared. An op-ed piece, complete with an interesting graphic showing demographic information before and after Hurricane Katrina, appears today's New York Times.

I'm thankful for Anderson Cooper having the you-know-what to keep asking the hard questions. With the exception of Brian Williams, the rest of the so-called MSM have gone back to slavering over Preznint Jumpy-Jaw.

Bob, I'm a fan of Anderson Cooper and Brian Williams, too.

Many people question whether the Village Voice is as relevant now as it was 20 or 30 years ago. Even so, the paper has a daily feature called "The Bush Beat." You might want to take a look at it.

Trust me - there is no slobbering over the President in these columns by Ward Harkavy. You'll have to decide for yourself whether these daily updates are your cup of tea. Here is the link to yesterday's installment of The Bush Beat.

Thanks for stopping by.

It's really sad and I suspect that state will remain for many months to come...hopefully not too long!

On a more positive note, you are Blog Of Teh Day! :-)
